Mrs. Torres: Principal & 2nd Grade
Mrs. Torres was born and raised in Harrisville, RI. She received her degree in Family and Child Development from Liberty University where she met her husband, Vince. Together they have been married 16 years and have two children, Brooklyn and Gavin. In her free time, Mrs. Torres enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants, and swimming. She is passionate about Christian education and wants all her students to know that they were created by God with a plan and purpose for their lives. Mrs. Torres and her family are longtime members of Blaze Christian Fellowship and are one of the three Founding Families of Santa Fe Christian.

Mrs. Rivera: Kindergarten
Mrs. Rivera has her Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) in biology and loves teaching and inspiring young minds. She spent 13 years teaching ESL in Thailand and 6 years teaching early childhood. She enjoys outdoor activities like camping and hiking.

Ms. Jones: 1st Grade
Ms. Jones was born and raised in Longview, Texas and received her bachelor's of Social Work from Louisiana Christian University in 2023. For the past year she has been living/serving full time at Glorieta Adventure camps as childcare leadership during the summer; for the spring season she helped tutor homeschoolers twice a week. She is excited to now be living in Santa Fe and teaching full time! In her free time I enjoy photography, hiking, painting, and playing pickleball.

Ms. Malvig: 3rd Grade
Ms. Malvig graduated with a bachelors in elementary edcuation and a minor in art history from Wheaton College. She has recently started her master's in early childhood development from Grand Canyon University. In her spare time, Ms. Malvig loves to watch football, sing worship, do photography, and any outdoor activities. She is passionate about learning about children and how they can lead us closer to Christ.

Mrs.Gonzales: 5th Grade
Mrs. Gonzales was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is a recently retired teacher from the Santa Fe Public Schools. She enjoys spending time with her family. In educational experience, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in bilingual education, teaching English to students of other languages (TESOL), reading foundations, and licensure in special education (K–12). She also holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Along with her husband, Carlos, three children, and two grandchildren, she lives her life to love and serve the Lord, as He would plan.

Mrs. Malvig: 6th Grade
Carrie began her teaching career at a Christian school in Milwaukee, WI, after graduating with a double major in Spanish and Geography (with an emphasis in travel and tourism) from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. After having children, she stayed home and homeschooled for 9 years. During that time, she taught and tutored other children as well. Her husband, Jon, has worked at various Christian camps and conference centers for the past 20 years. She is inspired by the apostle Paul, who lives for Christ in the present while hoping for the future.

Mrs. Gladney: Art
Mrs. Gladney grew up in the Texas Panhandle, and like her favorite artist, Georgia O'Keeffe, the beauty of the southwest drew her to New Mexico. She and her husband live in Santa Fe with their toddler son and miniature Australian shepherd. She enjoys watercoloring, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her family. She holds a B.F.A. degree in Visual Arts Studies from the University of North Texas and a M.A. degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College.

Ms. Orion: Library
Ms. Orion is a life long reader. She has read about 200 books per year since she learned to read at the age of 6. Her favorite genre is science fiction. She read aloud to her four children until they were 16 years old and still reads to her 30 year old niece weekly! She has her masters in nursing and is always using stories to help her hospice patients. She attends Vineyard Christian Fellowship where she is working on writing a curriculum that will take students through each book of the Bible!

Ms. Cardenas: Music
Ms. Cardenas loves Jesus and the Word of God. She has two adult children and two grandchildren. She enjoys time with her family, fishing, writing, and playing guitar. She has worked in Christian education as a P.E., music, computer, and Bible teacher. She currently serves as a worship leader at her church, Vineyard Christian Fellowship. In 2014, She founded and became the musical director of Ms. C School of Music. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in counseling. She also served out country in the Army for 23 years!

Mr. Brunett: P.E.
Mr. Brunett has a bachelor's in business and a master's in human resources development. He is committed to developing SFC students spiritually, physically, and mentally through the PE program. Sportsmanship, honesty, and physical tenacity are emphasized throughout the program. Children working together as teams in a competitive environment fosters good communication and the ability to work with others to achieve a common purpose, all while developing physical fitness. Mr. Brunett also teaches swimming at Santa Fe Community College and coaches kids team swimming with Beast Aquatics.
